Cathleen Turner, a property manager in Curry’s multi-family division, recently earned her Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) Certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
This certification is a highly respected designation in Multi-Family Property Management and is evidence of Turner’s education, knowledge and experience in the field. To achieve this certification, Turner was required to hold a real estate management position and meet portfolio standards defined by IREM for at least one year. In addition, she was required to attend a 40-hour class, receive at least three recommendations from industry peers and participate in an interview.
“It was important that I earn this certification because it sets a standard of excellence,” Turner said. “It is verification that I am qualified to do the job of a property manager.”
In addition to providing evidence for knowledge and experience, ARM certification demonstrates that a property manager is an ethical practitioner. ARM candidates must complete an ethics course and pledge to uphold the IREM Code of Professional Ethics.
“We are very proud of Cathleen for this accomplishment,” said Ellen Todd, president of Curry Real Estate Services. “Holding ARM accreditation reinforces the values that we have held since 1924: experience, responsiveness and connectedness. While this mark may be time-consuming to attain, we know the value in providing our clients the best service.”
